1Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Wolfie ("Wolfie," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with our website, waitlist, software, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). It applies to information we process as a controller. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. This Policy is incorporated into and subject to our Terms of Service.
2Our Privacy Principles
- Minimize. We try to collect only what we need.
- Localize. We design the Service so sensitive trading data stays on your device.
- Be transparent. We tell you what we collect and why.
- Don't sell. We do not sell your personal information.
3Information We Collect
The categories of information we may collect depend on how you interact with the Service:
| Category | Examples | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Waitlist information | Name, email address, trading experience level, stated interests | You, via the waitlist form |
| Account information | Login identifiers and authentication metadata (if/when accounts launch) | You |
| Billing information | Billing name, payment method token, transaction records (processed by our payment processor) | You and our payment processor |
| Support & communications | Messages you send us and our responses | You |
| Device & usage data | IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring URLs, diagnostic logs | Automatically, via your device |
We do not intend to collect or store your brokerage credentials. Authentication with a connected brokerage occurs through that brokerage's own authentication flow.
4What Stays on Your Device
Because this data lives on your device, you are responsible for safeguarding your device and for maintaining your own backups. We cannot recover locally stored data that is lost due to device failure, deletion, or loss.
5How We Use Information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
- To manage the waitlist and notify you about access and updates;
- To process payments and manage billing;
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests;
- To monitor, secure, and troubleshoot the Service and prevent abuse or fraud;
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms;
- To send service-related and, where permitted, marketing communications (you may opt out of marketing at any time).
6Legal Bases (Where Applicable)
Where required by law (for example, under the GDPR), we rely on the following legal bases to process personal data: performance of a contract (to provide the Service you request); our legitimate interests (to operate, secure, and improve the Service); your consent (for certain marketing and cookies, which you may withdraw); and compliance with legal obligations.
7How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in limited circumstances:
- Service providers. With vendors who process data on our behalf (e.g., hosting, payment processing, email delivery, analytics), bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
- Legal & safety. When required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Wolfie, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
- With your direction. When you authorize a connection to a third party (such as your brokerage), data flows as you direct.
8Third-Party Services
The Service interoperates with third parties, including your brokerage, AI model providers, data and news providers, and payment processors. When you connect or use these services, their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. In particular, Wolfie is not affiliated with Robinhood Markets, Inc.; your use of any Robinhood account and its agentic interface is subject to Robinhood's own privacy policy and terms.
9Cookies & Analytics
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality, to remember preferences, and to understand usage through privacy-respecting analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality. Where required, we will request your consent for non-essential cookies.
10Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Waitlist data is retained until you ask us to remove it or until it is no longer needed. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
11Security
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. Our local-first architecture is intended to reduce the amount of sensitive data we hold. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for securing your device, credentials, and locally stored data.
12Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. To exercise your rights, contact us at the address below; we will respond as required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity.
13U.S. State Privacy Rights
Residents of certain U.S. states (such as California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Utah) may have additional rights, including the right to know/access, delete, correct, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information or targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information and do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under applicable law. California residents may also be entitled to information about disclosures and to non-discrimination for exercising their rights. To exercise these rights, contact us as described below.
14International Users & GDPR/UK
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., you understand your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the U.S. and other countries with different data-protection laws. Where applicable, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers. Users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have the rights described in Section 12 and may lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.
15Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us.
16Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, may provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
